(aka the School of Medicine's Health Sciences IT Research Data Security Project)
Beginning in March 2011, the UCSD School of Medicine will begin offering expanded IT support services that will include:
- virtual machines for hosting applications
- Virtual Machines with 2GB or 4GB RAM
- 100 GB Hard Drives (addition NFS mounted storage can be purchased separately, by the TB)
- You manage your VM, or use our infrastructure for repeatable, scalable VM deployment
- replicated data storage
- provides primary data storage
- includes snapshot backups stored at an alternate location on campus
- NFS and/or Samba access from locations on campus
- backup storage
- suitable for backing up primary data stored elsewhere on campus
- minimal access - update backups, recover lost data
- audio/video conferencing access
- a coherent migration plan
- appropriate network connectivity
- user access details, etc.
